Practical Intuition with Kay

Supporting the inner lives of us grown-ups… I help people "knock the bricks off their wings and truly fly," as one client beautifully put it... I'm Kay, an artist, author, and coach. I live in Massachusetts, USA, with my husband, sons, and our 12-1/2-year-old pet chicken. Connect with me at kaylockkolp.com. PS This show used to be called We Turned Out Okay… You're in the right place! The first 375-ish episodes were created with that name. Much has changed around here, but much has stayed the same. I'm glad you are here!

I was so excited to bring today's guest to you that I completely fail to introduce her at the beginning of the episode!
Let me do that here: Liz Powers is CEO and Chief Happiness Spreader at ArtLifting, the virtual art gallery that champions artists impacted by homelessness and disabilities.

Long before Liz and her brother founded ArtLifting, she worked as an art therapist. She would meet people in the direst of situations and was routinely impressed with their resilience.

If you are looking for a conversation to lift you up and remind you of all the good in the world, this is the one for you.

We recorded only in audio! Something I'm going to keep doing. There's a different feeling when we are not worrying about appearance or facial expressions but instead focusing on conveying important ideas, connecting, and fun.

To see Liz's book art and my first-ever amaryllis art, find me in Instagram @weturnedoutokay…

Find Liz at http://artlifting.com
or in all the socials @artlifting

My website's art page is still under construction. So for now I invite you to see what I'm working on at Kay to the Tenth, my redbubble page

Thank you for being here! It means a lot!

If you're in need of a conversation that boosts your joy in being alive, this is the one for you!
My guest, Peleg Top of pelegtop.com, is a mentor and an artist based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Peleg goes deep today on how the challenges he's faced have helped him grow into the playful and fulfilled person he is today. This is an extremely fun conversation which includes, among much else, references to ecstatic dance and the latest Abba album!
More Links from our conversation…
I first heard Peleg speak with Mark McGuinness on Mark's wonderful podcast, 21st Century Creative.
Peleg sends out a beautiful newsletter-essay each month called a Love Letter; sign up for them here.
A formative book for me that comes up today is called A Young People's History of the United States
While my website's Art page is still under construction, visit my redbubble page by clicking here…
Thank you for being along on this journey with me!
Much love,
Kay
