For someone who needed a wheelchair 12 years ago, my achievement by the numbers is astonishing:
I hiked 160 miles along this path…
I hiked 17 of 20 possible hiking days…
I hiked the last 11 days in a row, without rest days.

But amazing as they are those numbers do not tell the whole story.

Here’s what REALLY happened…
I met my whole, unbroken self on the trail.
The self that got hidden away by illness and life events.
It was messy, and muddy, and exhilarating and wild.
